About Us...
Autowave started as a small sole trader operation in 2004 fitting car audio equipment on a mobile basis, basically run from a small Rover 25 van! Originally based in Nottingham, by 2010 we had 4 mobile engineers operating in London within the M25 and 2 mobile engineers covering the East Midlands. As the market developed and cars were fitted with better equipment direct from the manufacturer it meant aftermarket equipment was taking longer to install and required many more vehicle specific interfaces, mainly due to CAN bus and MOST technology. This required an even further knowledge of automotive electronics and led us into the field of auto diagnostics, so as our knowledge grew so did the range of work. At this point we decided we should use our expert knowledge and rather than operate on a mobile basis move into a fixed premises where we could further develop.

In late 2011 we moved into our head office in Long Eaton, Nottingham which incorporates a 6 bay workshop. We invested heavily in main dealer level diagnostic equipment and the latest in key programming technology. We then moved further into the ECU and automotive locksmith marketplace, staying up to date with the latest cutting edge technology and designing our own machinery and equipment to tackle the latest most advanced vehicles.
In 2013 we expanded into the used car market, and across our 2 sites stock over 40 used cars. With our knowledge of cars technically, and interest personally this area of the business has been very successful.
In 2015 we are proud to say we are Europe's largest stockist of used ECU's and ECU kits with over 20000 units in stock and growing daily. We are also the UK's biggest stockist of used original car radios and supply individuals, car dealers and motor factors nationwide. We have stuck to our roots and still supply car audio and entertainment products, with the ever changing market and advances in technology this area will always be strong.
