The time it takes to transcribe a tape can depend on the following factors:

1. The clarity of the tape.
2. Speed of person speaking and the position of their microphone.
3. Content of the tape and technical terms.

Because people speak four times faster than we can type, a one hour tape will generally take four hours to transcribe. Fixed price quotes can be given after an evaluation of a tape.
