Guitar Tuition by Alex Farran

I'm a professional musician living in Nottingham. I've dedicated my life to music in all of its forms and I absolutely adore teaching and passing my discoveries on to my students.

If you've always wanted to learn to play the guitar you've come to the right place. I will teach all ages, no matter how experienced, from complete beginner through to the seasoned player.

I teach all styles of music, but specialise in Rock, Jazz, Blues, Country and Fingerstyle. I can also teach music theory and prepare you for grades and examinations if you so wish. I will provide homework and backing tracks to make learning more fun.
Other than simply showing you the fundamentals of guitar playing, I can take you as deep as you'd like to go into the World of guitars, all the way to complex guitar and amplifier maintenance etc.

I am also a music producer/engineer so we can periodically record the songs you've been working hard on so you have something to show for your hard work and achievements!

If you're an experienced player who would like to delve deep into the specifics of some of the more challenging styles, I can do that too. From gypsy jazz and bebop, to Mississippi blues and Telecaster country twang, we can explore many fascinating genres if you're up for quite a journey!
